VehicleLab 1.1.0

Understand suspension response in time and frequency.

Study transient road events or normalized harmonic response, explore one parameter at a time, and compare designs. Visualize motion and export engineering evidence directly in your browser.

Start with Half Car · 4 DOF for coupled heave and pitch, separate axle roads, and synchronized Motion. Quarter Car · 2 DOF remains a simpler reference model. Meet the half-car model

01 / A simpler engineering workflow

Study → Explore → Compare

Three focused workspaces keep one study, bounded design exploration, and detailed comparison separate while preserving one continuous engineering context. A compact Journey map records which capabilities you have completed without judging whether the current edited inputs match retained evidence.

  1. 01

    Study

Understand one configuration under a transient road event or steady harmonic excitation.

  2. 02

    Explore

Sweep one supported physical parameter over an exact candidate range under one scenario.

  3. 03

    Compare

Evaluate Baseline and Variant A in time or on one exact shared frequency grid.

02 / Engineering trust

The assumptions stay visible.

VehicleLab keeps numerical behavior, provenance, equations, validation evidence, and the current model boundary close to the result—not hidden behind a product claim.

Review Verification & Validation evidence →
Transparent equations

The implemented force balance, state definition, sign convention, and model boundary are public.

Deterministic simulation

Identical accepted inputs produce identical time bases, channels, metrics, and sweep candidates.

Browser-local compute

A dedicated Web Worker runs the study. Inputs and results are not sent to a VehicleLab backend.

Visible V&V evidence

Canonical regression checks and a source-audited published benchmark remain inspectable.

03 / Product capability

Focused ride-study decisions.

  • Four prescribed road inputs and editable physical parameters
  • Headline ride metrics and synchronized time-history plots
  • Direct complex frequency response for both models
  • Baseline/Variant frequency overlays, peak shifts, and native-point inspection
  • Deterministic one-parameter sweeps with exact endpoints
  • Actual-candidate response and trade-off plots with UTF-8 CSV export
  • Baseline versus Variant A deltas, overlays, and shared Model / Vehicle motion
  • Definition-only projects, completed-evidence CSV and plot PNG, and one persistent PDF Engineering Report action
  • Published Zhao et al. numerical benchmark and visible V&V evidence

04 / Honest model boundary

A deliberately narrow model.

The preset is generic and has not been correlated to a production vehicle. The current linear passive models exclude roll, lateral dynamics, nonlinear components, contact loss, and control systems.

VehicleLab supports transparent engineering exploration. It is not a certification, safety-validation, optimization, or full-vehicle platform.

05 / Start a study

Move from one response to a defensible comparison.

Start with the generic preset, inspect time or frequency response, explore a bounded range, compare an alternative, and export review-ready engineering evidence. Completed transient Study evidence can also become a publication-ready wide or vertical video.
